textiles

In my textile work, I explore the acts of wrapping, binding, and layering as a way to both protect and conceal. Each piece is a ritual—an intimate process of engaging with memory, loss, and the passage of time. The fabrics I use carry their own histories, torn and repurposed to form new narratives. As I wrap them around hidden objects or written words, they transform into shields and talismans, preserving secrets while keeping them just beyond reach.

The process is slow, deliberate, and meditative, reflecting the tension I feel between the desire to reveal and the instinct to protect. Through these bindings, I reflect on the fragility and resilience of both the material and emotional layers we wrap around ourselves. Each fold, each knot, speaks to the complexity of what we choose to conceal and what we dare to expose.
